Renewco Power, a renewable energy developer headquartered in G lasgow, has secured planning permission on appeal for the Hare Hill Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in County Durham, United Kingdom. The project is developed in partnership with Locogen, will feature a 31.5 MW solar PV array and a 10.35 MW embedded BESS. Once operational, it is expected to supply electricity to around 17,600 homes annually while reducing an estimated 13,050 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. Locogen led the planning process, with CMS and Pegasus Group supporting the successful appeal.
