LODI, Wis. — The School District of Lodi will celebrate completion of a districtwide rooftop solar project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday afternoon at Lodi Middle School.
The district installed an 880-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system across its five facilities in partnership with Wisconsin-based Upper 90 Energy LLC, Eland Electric, WPPI, Focus on Energy and Lodi Utilities.

Lodi High School: 396 kW.
Lodi Middle School: 154 kW.
Lodi Elementary School/Ouisconsing School of Collaboration: 152 kW.
Lodi Primary School: 152 kW.
District office: 22 kW.
School officials said the district secured $650,000 in one-time incentives, including about $607,000 in federal energy tax credits expanded under the Inflation Reduction Act and about $43,000 in Focus on Energy utility rebates. The district also received an $8,000 Focus on Energy grant.
The district will apply the upfront funding to reduce its 15-year municipal lease. In the system’s first year, the solar arrays are projected to generate 1,107,784 kilowatt-hours of electricity and save an estimated $116,099 in utility costs.
The district also secured an $8,000 grant from Focus on Energy.
“This milestone proves what is possible when conservative fiscal planning meets modern energy technology,” District Administrator Vince Breunig said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for noon at Lodi Middle School.
