Solar EPC contractor GRS, part of Grupo Gransolar, will build the 235 MWp Fleming Solar Farm for Acciona Energía in Kentucky, marking the company's renewed push into the US market.
GRS, the solar EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) arm of Grupo Gransolar, has signed an agreement with Acciona Energía to build the Fleming Solar Farm, a 235-megawatt-peak (MWp) photovoltaic plant in the state of Kentucky, United States. Adolfo Ruiz, Director of Operations at GRS, describes the contract as a turning point for the group’s strategy. According to him, the company has never withdrawn its focus from the US market, which he describes as holding strong potential for the photovoltaic sector. He also highlighted the partnership with Acciona Energía, calling it a reference partner for delivering the project.
The agreement between GRS and Acciona Energía is part of a broader push to develop the solar sector in the United States, where several international groups are strengthening their positions through projects of comparable scale. Grupo Gransolar intends to use this contract as a foundation to build a lasting presence in the country.
