SEG Solar opens second U.S. PV manufacturing facility – Solarbytes

SEG Solar, has officially inaugarated its second photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in the United States, named Tomball #1, located in Greater Houston, Texas. This facility spans over 500,000 square feet and with an investment of $200 million. It is expected to produce 4 GW annually, thereby increasing SEG’s total manufacturing capacity in the U.S. to 6 GW per year. The inauguration was attended by approximately 800 individuals, including local government representatives and industry partners. The plant features four production lines specifically designed for the manufacturing of SIERRA N series heterojunction (HJT) modules that accommodate 210 mm and 210R wafer formats. Commercial operations are anticipated to commence in the third quarter of 2026. Additionally, SEG is in the process of planning a third module manufacturing facility in the U.S. along with a cell manufacturing plant.
