A developer and asset manager of commercial and industrial-scale renewable energy, ForeFront Power has announced that its earth-mounted solar system at Fresno’s Northeast Surface Water Treatment Plant has entered commercial operation. The project utilizes Erthos technology that installs solar modules directly on the earth, eliminating traditional steel racking hardware and associated labor costs. The installation is part of a larger 27 MW-DC solar and smart storage portfolio developed across three municipal water facilities. The combined municipal assets are projected to save ratepayers more than $122 million by 2045. Since entering commercial service in late March 2026, the installation has generated 862 MWh of electricity at an average 101% of forecast production.
