Saatvik Solar Secures ₹1,008 Crore in Solar Module Orders – mvapulse.com

⚡ Quick Read
The Indian solar manufacturing landscape is witnessing a robust surge in order books as domestic players ramp up supply to meet the country’s ambitious renewable energy targets. Saatvik Solar Industries, a key subsidiary of Saatvik Green, has emerged as a significant beneficiary of this trend, securing a series of high-value contracts that underscore the growing reliance on domestic module supply chains by large-scale project developers.
In a strong performance during August 2024, Saatvik Solar Industries finalized three distinct solar PV module supply orders with a cumulative value of ₹1,008.16 crore. The first contract, valued at ₹132 crore, was awarded by an independent power producer (IPP) and EPC player, with deliveries slated for completion by January 2027. A second, more substantial contract worth ₹476 crore was secured from Vikran Engineering Ltd, with an execution deadline of March 2027. Finally, the company added a third order worth ₹400.16 crore from another IPP/EPC entity, also to be fulfilled by March 2027. These contracts collectively represent a significant milestone for the manufacturer, reflecting the sustained demand for high-quality solar components in the Indian market.
For EPC contractors and solar developers operating in India, these orders signify a tightening of the supply chain and a preference for long-term procurement planning. By securing supply commitments extending into 2027, developers are effectively mitigating risks associated with price volatility and supply shortages. The involvement of firms like Vikran Engineering indicates that large-scale infrastructure players are actively securing their module requirements well in advance to ensure project viability and adherence to strict commissioning timelines. This trend suggests that domestic manufacturers with proven delivery capabilities are becoming the preferred partners for major utility-scale solar projects.
The focus will now shift to the manufacturing and logistics phase as Saatvik Solar prepares to execute these orders over the next 30 months. As the India renewable energy sector continues to expand, the ability of domestic manufacturers to scale production while maintaining quality will be critical. Stakeholders should continue to track similar procurement announcements, as they provide a clear pulse on the health of the EPC sector and the broader trajectory of India’s transition toward a sustainable energy economy.
