Sanden Corporation, Japan based automotive equipment manufacturer, has installed an on-site solar power system at its Naganuma Plant in Gunma Prefecture. The system operates under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with Eiki Shoji Co., Ltd. The facility generates electricity directly on-site to reduce upfront capital investment. It produces approximately 1.35 million kWh of electricity annually. This output covers about 12% of the plant’s total power consumption. The installation reduces annual carbon emissions by approximately 560 tons. This figure represents an 11% reduction compared to 2025 emission levels. The arrangement helps stabilize long-term energy costs against market price fluctuations. Sanden targets carbon neutrality by 2039. The company plans to continue expanding renewable energy use and energy-efficiency initiatives.
