A proposed 300-megawatt solar facility and 120-megawatt battery storage project in Butte County is moving closer to the application stage, with Cenergy Power planning to submit to the California Energy Commission soon. If approved, most of the power generated would go back into Butte County, though concerns have been raised about the project’s impact on Blue Oak trees at the planned site.
