Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited (CleanMax) and building materials company Nuvoco have partnered to develop a 46.4 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project in Rajasthan, comprising 20 MW of wind and 26.4 MWp of solar capacity. The project will supply renewable electricity to Nuvoco’s cement operations under a group captive structure, supporting the company’s efforts to reduce emissions from its operations.
The project will be developed at Bhikamkhore in Rajasthan and will also include a 2 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project will supply electricity to Nuvoco through the state transmission utility (STU) open access network.
Once operational, the hybrid project is expected to generate around 100 million units (MU) of renewable electricity annually. It is expected to avoid around 62,023 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually under Scope 2 and 63,463 tonnes under Scope 1.
“Cement plants run continuously, so the power behind them has to be dependable for decades, not years. We’re seeing manufacturing industries view clean energy as an integral part of their core operations and long-term strategy,” said Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director, CleanMax. “Our partnership with Nuvoco reflects that shift, and we’re pleased to support its decarbonisation journey. This wind-solar hybrid project is designed to deliver long-term cost certainty while supporting the company’s transition to cleaner power.”
Jayakumar Krishnaswamy, Managing Director of Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd, said the company’s collaboration with CleanMax will increase the share of renewable energy across its Rajasthan operations, strengthening its energy mix, improving long-term cost efficiency and reducing its dependence on conventional power sources.
Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions is a commercial & industrial (C&I) renewable energy company with more than 15 years of operations in India. Its contracted renewable energy portfolio reached 6 GW as of June 30, 2026, with 79% of new contracted capacity driven by existing customers.
