KARACHI: FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Ltd (FCEPL) has installed a 450-kilowatt solar photovoltaic (PV) system integrated with a 255-kilowatt-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) at its Nara Dairy Farm facility.
The project, awarded to DSG Energy, combines on-site solar generation with battery storage to increase the use of renewable power and provide a more reliable electricity supply for farm operations, FCEPL said.
The company said the system is also intended to reduce reliance on conventional fuel-based power generation and lower energy costs.
The installation is part of a broader shift among industrial and agricultural businesses in Pakistan towards integrated energy systems that combine solar generation, battery storage and energy management technologies.
