Hoymiles has promoted Monika Shekhar to Deputy General Manager – Marketing for its India operations, marking another step in the company’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the country’s rapidly expanding solar and energy storage market.
While welcoming the new role, Shekhar said, “Taking a step forward with the same hunger,” while expressing gratitude to the Hoymiles management and team for the recognition.
Shekhar has been associated with Hoymiles since December 2024. She previously served as Assistant General Manager – Marketing and has now taken up the expanded role of Deputy General Manager – Marketing, effective October 2026.
In her marketing leadership role at Hoymiles, Shekhar has been involved in the company’s efforts to build its brand and strengthen partner and market engagement in India. Her profile describes her role as focused on building Hoymiles as a “One Stop Solar & Storage Solution” in India, with responsibilities spanning strategy, brand building and partner communication.
Before joining Hoymiles, Shekhar spent more than three years with GoodWe Technologies, where she served as Marketing Manager from July 2021 to November 2024. She had earlier worked with GoodWe as Senior Marketing Specialist – India. She also served as Marketing Communications Manager at Dharma Life (NGO) between July 2020 and July 2021.
The promotion comes at a time when Hoymiles is expanding its portfolio in India’s solar and energy storage market. The company has moved beyond its established microinverter business to offer hybrid inverters, string inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and power conversion systems (PCS) for residential, C&I and utility-scale applications.
Hoymiles has also been strengthening its Indian distribution and service network. The company has previously highlighted partnerships with regional distributors and said that hundreds of megawatts of its solutions have been deployed in India’s solar and storage sector.
