Zelestra, a Spain-based renewable energy company, has closed $350 million in green project financing credit facilities for its 203 MW Reclamation solar project in Gibson County, Indiana. The facilities have been provided by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, BBVA and Societe Generale, and CIBC has acted as the left-lead arranger. The project has taken its name from the land beneath it, since the site in southwest Indiana has been reclaimed from former coal mining operations. Construction of the plant is already under way. Meta is to buy the electricity from the plant under a long-term power purchase agreement, and the plant is due to come online by the end of 2027. The close has also taken Zelestra past $1 billion in US project financing in 2026. That financing is helping the company to put more than 800 MW of new solar capacity into construction across the United States.
