Qair begins construction of 46MW Brecks Solar Farm in Nottinghamshire – theenergyst.com

Qair has commenced construction of the 46MW Brecks Solar Farm in Nottinghamshire, marking the company’s first renewable energy project in the UK to enter the construction phase.
The project forms part of Qair’s growing portfolio of renewable energy developments and represents an important step in the company’s continued growth, as it progresses projects across the UK from development through to construction and operation.
Once operational, Brecks Solar Farm is anticipated to generate approximately 46.08GWh of renewable electricity each year, enough to power the equivalent of 8,927 homes annually. The project is also expected to avoid approximately 14,866 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year.
In addition to renewable energy generation, Brecks Solar Farm will deliver environmental enhancements, including biodiversity improvements and landscaping measures designed to integrate the development into the surrounding environment while supporting local wildlife.
Qair secured a government-backed Contract for Difference (CfD) for the project in February 2026. The project is set to become operational in Q2 2027.
