Solarworld Energy Solutions Ltd. has launched three products covering residential energy storage, utility-scale power conversion and high-output solar modules at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026, being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida from October 22 to 24.
The new products comprise lithium iron phosphate (LFP) home energy storage batteries with capacities ranging from 1.28 kWh to 5.12 kWh, a 2,500 kVA central power conversion system (PCS) developed under joint branding with Belectriq, and AQUILA bifacial G12 solar modules rated up to 715 Wp.
The launches mark an expansion of the company's portfolio beyond solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and module manufacturing into battery energy storage and power conversion. The products are intended for residential consumers, commercial and industrial (C&I) facilities, and utility-scale solar and storage projects.
The home energy storage range comprises three lithium-ion battery models: SW12100, rated at 12.8 V and 1.28 kWh; SW24100, rated at 25.6 V and 2.56 kWh; and SW51100, rated at 51.2 V and 5.12 kWh. Each model uses 100 Ah LFP cells and is designed for home inverters, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and solar-plus-storage installations.
The batteries incorporate a battery management system with protection against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short circuits and temperature-related risks. The company said the products comply with applicable standards, including IS 16270, IEC 62619 or UL 1973, and UN 38.3. They carry a five-year product warranty.
The launch comes as the company expands its storage portfolio beyond residential applications. Its existing offerings include liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems for commercial, industrial and utility-scale projects. These include a 125 kW/261.24 kWh system for C&I applications and a 5,015 kWh containerised system for industrial and utility-scale use.
For larger solar and storage projects, Solarworld has introduced the SWPCS2500 central power conversion system under joint branding with Belectriq. The system has a rated capacity of 2,500 kVA, maximum AC power of 2,750 kVA and maximum DC voltage of 1,500 V.
The PCS uses a three-level topology and offers efficiency of up to 99%. It supports both grid-connected and off-grid operations, with RS485, CAN and Ethernet communication interfaces. The system incorporates air and liquid cooling options and has an IP55-rated control cabin.
Power conversion systems are used to manage the conversion of electricity between direct current and alternating current in solar and battery storage installations. The SWPCS2500 is intended for large-scale applications requiring power conversion for solar generation and storage.
The third launch, the AQUILA bifacial G12 solar module series, covers capacities from 650 Wp to 715 Wp. The modules use N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) bifacial cells and are manufactured in India by Solarworld's subsidiary, ZNShine Solarworld Private Limited.
The modules offer efficiency of up to 23.02% and feature a 16-busbar cell design and glass-to-glass construction. The series is IEC-certified, BIS-approved and listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
The modules carry a 12-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty. Other specifications include a temperature coefficient of -0.29% per degree Celsius, an IP68-rated junction box and resistance to potential-induced degradation (PID).
Commenting on the launches, Kartik Teltia, managing director of Solarworld Energy Solutions Limited, said the Indian solar sector was moving beyond capacity installation towards integrated energy systems covering generation, conversion and storage.
He said customers and project developers were increasingly looking for integrated solutions and suppliers capable of serving multiple requirements. The new products, he added, would allow the company to address additional customer segments and reduce its dependence on any single part of the market.
Teltia also highlighted the company's plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities through solar cell production, adding to its existing operations across solar modules and battery storage.
Solarworld manufactures solar modules and battery energy storage systems at its facilities in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The company is also setting up a 2.4 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, in partnership with Rays Power Infra Limited.
According to the company's corporate profile, Solarworld has more than 13 years of experience, a solar project portfolio exceeding 1.5 GW and a BESS EPC and independent power producer (IPP) portfolio exceeding 1.2 GW.
Its business includes solar EPC, large-scale solar park development, customised rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations, module manufacturing and battery storage solutions for commercial, industrial and utility customers.
The company has a 1.552 GW solar module manufacturing facility, a 5 GW junction box manufacturing line developed through a joint venture, and a 3.6 GW BESS manufacturing facility in Roorkee, according to its corporate profile. It is also pursuing backward integration into solar cell manufacturing through its partnership in Madhya Pradesh.
