The Hebden Green project is expected to be energised by the end of 2027 and generate approximately 17,500MWh of electricity annually.

UK-based independent power producer (IPP) Enviromena has acquired the 18.1MWp Hebden Green solar project in Winsford, Cheshire, from developer Anglo Renewables.
Hebden Green has secured planning consent and a Contract for Difference (CfD) in Allocation Round 7 (AR7). The project will be developed on Grade IV agricultural land and includes ecological measures and a community benefit fund to support local initiatives.
Lee Adams, chief commercial officer at Enviromena, said: “Hebden Green is a high-quality, well-developed project that further strengthens our construction pipeline for 2027 and supports our continued growth as an owner and operator of solar assets across the UK.”
The Hebden Green acquisition is Enviromena's second this month, following its purchase of the 22.5MW Parkgate Farm solar power plant in Essex from developer Innova Renewables, and adds to the company's portfolio of CfD-backed solar assets.

These include the Rock Farm solar project in Shropshire, which Enviromena purchased from Anglo Renewables in the summer of 2025, where construction is currently underway. Discussions are ongoing with the local community over the allocation of its community benefit fund.
Reading-headquartered Enviromena develops, builds, owns and operates solar and battery energy storage assets across the UK and Europe. The company manages nearly 400MW of assets through operations and maintenance (O&M) and asset management services, with a UK development pipeline exceeding 3GW.
Alongside these acquisitions, Enviromena has plans to acquire 233MWp of solar capacity and 75MW of co-located battery energy storage system (BESS) projects from UK renewable energy developer Innova by the end of 2026. Savills Earth Capital Advisors (SECA) acted as financial adviser to Anglo Renewables.
