In Moon Sweepers, there are three different types of Solar Panels.

Solar Post is the most basic type of Solar Panel you can use. It costs just $75 to set up, and it's incredibly cheap. Just place it near the production facility that requires power. While it's cheap, it's also low when it comes to power generation. Moreover, it doesn't have a battery.
Solar Twin is the more advanced version that you'll get during midgame. It might not have a battery, but the range of operation and power capacity are significantly higher.
Solar Tracker is the option you'll mostly use during endgame. This is the perfect solution when it comes to automation. It comes with a 16 KW of power production capacity for starters. It also comes with a battery, so it allows your machines to keep working at night since they will never run out of power.
Solar Tracker is the best type of panel, but you don't need them until you reach the endgame. They're truly required when you're trying to set up the best factory outlet in the game. The reason is simple: an endgame factory is automated.
If you're not using Solar Tracker, your machines will become inactive when the sun isn't up. That's something you can't afford, and it cuts away your profits. By then, you'll also have enough money to use the Solar Tracker and add as many as required.
