Avaada unveils 745 Wp DCR TOPCon module at REI Expo 2026 – Power Peak Digest

Avaada Group has unveiled a 745 Wp domestic content requirement (DCR) N-type TOPCon solar module at Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026, held from October 22 to 24 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The module was unveiled by Heeralal Nagar, Rajasthan’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Energy.
The glass-to-glass module delivers up to 745 Wp at an efficiency of 23.98%. It uses a 132 half-cell configuration and an 18-busbar architecture, designed to improve power density and energy generation.
Manufacturing base
Avaada has 6 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, of which 3 GW is operational, while an additional 3 GW line is at an advanced stage of commissioning. It also has 8.5 GW of operational module manufacturing capacity.
At the exhibition, the company showed N-type TOPCon glass-to-glass modules rated at up to 640 Wp with efficiencies of up to 23.7%, alongside G12R and G12 DCR modules rated at up to 745 Wp. According to the company, the modules offer low light-induced degradation, low-light performance, favourable temperature coefficients and bifacial energy generation.
Rooftop and storage
Avaada also showcased ready-to-install rooftop solar kits for residential, agricultural and commercial consumers. The kits combine solar inverters, electrical protection systems, earthing equipment and connectors to simplify installation.
The company presented Avaada HALO, an integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) that combines a hybrid inverter, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology and monitoring through the Avaada mobile application. The modular system supports up to four stacked units and delivers up to 10 kW of continuous power. During outages, it can provide up to 11.5 kW with solar support, subject to operating conditions.
Pavilion
The pavilion received visits from John Swinney, First Minister of Scotland, and Ravi Kishan, Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur and actor. It featured an interactive clean-energy quiz titled Energy Unplugged – Discover What You Know and a virtual reality experience showcasing the company’s solar manufacturing operations.
Management view
Heeralal Nagar said: “India’s clean-energy transition is being supported by advances in solar technology, energy storage and decentralised power solutions. It is encouraging to see companies such as Avaada Group bring advanced solar modules, rooftop solar solutions and storage technologies to the market.” He added that such innovations could support renewable energy adoption and strengthen energy security.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group, said: “India should not just be one of the world’s largest consumers of solar technology. India must become one of the world’s leading creators and manufacturers of solar technology.” He added that the 745 Wp DCR TOPCon module reflected the company’s ambition to manufacture globally competitive solar products in India.
Mittal also said: “Our vision goes beyond manufacturing solar panels. We want to enable every home, business and industry to generate, store and intelligently use clean energy.” He said the company was building an integrated energy ecosystem spanning solar cells, modules, rooftop systems and battery storage.
