JI has launched the DJI Power Auro 2000 Elite, its new 2kWh power station with output power of up to 2 kW continuous, and 2.2 kW peak.
DJI is packing all of its ports and outlets on the front, which include three AC outlets, a car charger, MPPT for solar PV input via two of DJI’s proprietary SDC ports, a 140 W USB-C cable, and DJI also said it can be expanded up to 12 kWh with a “soon-to-be-planned” additional battery.
Compared to the DJI Power 2000, the Auro 2000 Elite is 2.5 kg lighter at around 19 kg, and has a 24 percent smaller volume, using LFP battery cells. All ports are on the front side.
The company said the device was “efficiency optimized” for everyday loads from 100W to 400W.
In terms of safety, the system’s BMS can monitor 13 temperature sensors, and 40 fuses and trigger an automatic shutoff if faults occur. DJI said it also replaced standard conformal coating on the core components with a thinner sub-nano layer to aid heat dissipation while still remaining protective. The unit is rated for altitudes up to 5,000 meters.
Users can monitor the battery, power flows, and enable fast charging through the updated DJI Home app. According to the company, the unit offers a 10-millisecond switchover time in UPS mode, though this will draw more standby power, and operates below 30 dB under low-load discharge.
Although DJI doesn’t make it clear that this is a balcony storage product, the company does say in combination with a solar panel and a microinverter set which it sells separately, it also supports grid-connected operation with up to 800 W in selected regions. That ties-in with a launch it announced for IFA 2026 but didn’t go through with, for unknown reasons.
DJI is leaning into its ecosystem as well, noting that it offers “SDC fast charging” at up to 240 W for some of its compatible drone batteries.
Price and availability
The DJI Power Auro 2000 Elite will be available from October 28, 2026 at a price of 1,099 euros through the DJI, and retail partners. DJI has said it offers five years warranty.
DJI is unable to offer the power station in the US.
