The 27.5 MW Parkgate Farm solar project in Essex, England, has been acquired from Innova Renewables by Enviromena, a UK-based independent power producer. The purchase is expected to be the first of several transactions with the developer. By the end of 2026, Enviromena expects to have acquired 233 MW of solar projects and 75 MW of co-located BESS from it. The project is fully consented, and it has secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) in Allocation Round 6. It is expected to be energised in the summer of 2028. The farm will then generate more than 28 GWh of electricity a year, which is enough for more than 10,000 homes. Enviromena has already built the 71 MW Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex, and Parkgate Farm will be its second large project in that county. Further acquisitions under the partnership are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
