GreenGo was awarded a new 48-megawatt tracking photovoltaic plant in the Trapani area in western Sicily, Italy, by state-owned operator GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici) in the latest FER X and NZIA tender.
In the last round of FER X NZIA, GreenGo was awarded 3.3 percent of the capacity allocated by the GSE, amounting to 1.1 gigawatts.
A total of 193 megawatts of wind and photovoltaic plants will benefit from public support schemes managed by the GSE, with an average portfolio tariff among the highest in the Italian energy-transition market.
This award follows GreenGo’s success in the transitional DM FER X, an Italian government decree that introduced a temporary incentive scheme for renewable-energy plants, in which the company already had been awarded 101 megawatts.
