France independent producer, Neoen has started building three new solar farms in France with a total capacity of 230 MW and all three were planned to start operating by 2028. The projects included the 147 MW Le Couret agrisolar farm in Haute-Vienne and the 48 MW Isle-sur-Marne solar farm along with the 35 MW Matignicourt floating solar farm in La Marne. The construction of the solar farms and two high-voltage substations is handed to Equans Solar & Storage to connect them to the RTE grid. The Le Couret project is developed with local authorities and farmers and is linked to a long-term power supply deal signed in 2024 with SNCF Energie. The two La Marne projects were awarded in a 2024 government tender, built on a former quarry and connected to a nearby substation. Neoen had reached close to 1.5 GW of solar capacity operating or under construction in France.
