Another solar farm proposal takes shape in Linn County – Albany Democrat-Herald

Environmentalists and farmers filled a state Department of Energy meeting to enter their concerns over a proposed 2.5-square-mile solar park into the public record.
While many rural Linn County residents battle a proposed massive solar farm, a similar — but much smaller — project planned for outside Harrisburg is nearing the finish line.

Solar farm proposals have received push back from some in the community. The group that paid for this billboard has been battling a much larger project east of Harrisburg and southwest of Brownsville.
