Chinese photovoltaic manufacturer TCL Sunpower has introduced two new solar panel series for rooftop installations, according to a report from pv magazine. The additions to its P Class portfolio include a residential line and a commercial series, both utilizing a shingled cell design with multiple busbars.
The residential offering, named P Class RES Black, provides power outputs between 465 and 475 watts with a maximum efficiency of 23.8 percent. These modules are intended for high-density residential rooftops and feature specific dimensions and weight. They incorporate strengthened glass and a black frame, with electrical components rated for certain environmental conditions.
For commercial and industrial applications, the P Class COM bifacial series delivers power from 580 to 600 watts, achieving up to 24 percent efficiency. These larger-format panels share several construction features with the residential line, including the same glass type and protective ratings for their connection boxes.
Both product series share identical performance guarantees, including a specific temperature coefficient and degradation rate.
