The final public hearing on a proposed solar farm along Cash Valley Road takes place this evening at the LaVale Library, beginning at 6pm.  Solar Star Allegany South wants to build a 4.95 megawatt facility on 22 acres on what is known locally as Helmstetter’s Farm. The facility would generate energy to be allocated to community solar subscribers within the Potomac Edison service territory.
