Retigo has invested in a new photovoltaic power plant at its headquarters in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Czech Republic, as part of its ongoing focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
The 365kWp installation was completed during the first half of 2026 and is due to enter trial operation in July, with regular operation expected to follow shortly afterwards.
The system has been installed on the roof of Retigo’s production halls, following a complete renovation of the roofing ahead of the photovoltaic project.
Retigo said all electricity generated by the installation will be used directly at its premises, supporting production, heating water and heating the production halls during colder weekends.
The project also includes four charging stations for electric vehicles.
The investment follows a decision by Retigo’s management to proceed with the photovoltaic project in 2025, with the company describing it as another step towards greater energy self-sufficiency and long-term sustainable development.
Retigo has also highlighted the local and European sourcing of components used in its manufacturing operations. The company said 99% of the components used in its convection ovens are sourced from Europe, with 65% coming directly from local suppliers.
The new solar installation is intended to complement these existing measures, while reducing the company’s reliance on externally sourced energy.
Retigo said sustainability, responsible business practices and the use of local resources have long been priorities for the business, with the photovoltaic project forming part of its wider approach to more efficient production.
