In an example of this, Sharp recently acquired the remaining ownership of its Vietnam solar engineering, procurement, and maintenance business.

Sharp Energy Solutions recently revealed that it has completed the acquisition of all shares that are held by NSN CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING JSC in SHARP NSN ENERGY SOLUTION JSC, which is a joint venture established in Vietnam by SESJ and NSN, as of June 30, 2026.
This officially means that SNES has become a wholly owned subsidiary of SESJ, a brand-new reality sealed by the company changing its name to SHARP Energy SOLUTION VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED in May 2026. The Asian region has consistently been recognized as the hub for solar energy development.
According to reports, China is the outright leading solar energy producer in the world, which in turn inspires other nations to enhance their focus. One such country is Vietnam, which has a cumulative solar capacity that surpassed 19.2 GW by 2026 because of the high solar potential, commercial rooftop adoption, and new direct purchase regulations.
The nation averages a daily solar radiation of 4.0 to 5.0 kWh per square meter with 2,500 to 3,000 sunshine hours per year.
There has been a tremendous amount of attention on the acquisition made by SHARP, which is often the case when companies reach captivating deals. According to a press release from Sharp Global, since its establishment in March 2020, SESV has been involved in EPC services covering engineering, procurement, and construction of solar power plants as well as O&M services.
Critically, this includes operation and maintenance within Vietnam, a country that is at the center of this latest acquisition. As demand for renewable energy in Vietnam continues to increase, the full purchase is anticipated to quicken decision-making and allow more integrated business operations.  
Through Sharp Energy Solution Vietnam, expansion into new companies will be considered, including rooftop solar power systems for factories and commercial facilities, as well as power plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems. The company’s location is Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and its main representative is Hideaki Shirakawa.
