The Daily Item reports a solar project has been approved in East Buffalo Township. The newspaper reports a renewable energy company based in Wilkes-Barre will install solar panels on the East Buffalo Township municipal building at a cost of just under $250,000. The vote on the project passed 2-1 at the East Buffalo Township Supervisor’s meeting on Monday night, with Supervisor Tom Zorn voting against it. The Daily Item reports the township expects to save $469,000 over 25 years for installing the solar system.
