The Wood River City Council has approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Wood River Levee District to build a solar park for the city’s water department.  Under the agreement, the Levee District gifts the land to the city and in return receives a smaller solar farm to run their operations.
City Manager Steve Palen explains the details.
Palen said he expects the solar farm to affect significant reductions in the water plant’s utility costs.
