MANKATO — Residents are invited to the South Central Minnesota Clean Energy Council’s second annual Mankato Area Solar and Energy Efficiency Tour on Saturday.
In a news release, the organization shared that the goal of the tour is “to have community members share their home solar, energy efficiency and sustainability stories with neighbors, community members and businesses to promote the adoption of sustainable practices.”
The tour will stop at two households and one business to highlight solar, electric vehicles, air source heat pumps and electric bikes, the release said.
Attendees are asked to arrive by 1 p.m. at the Blue Earth County Library parking lot.
The tour will then travel through the community in a caravan. The tour will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
