DRC: Second solar-battery baseload plant commissioned at Kamoa-Kakula – African Energy

A second major solar-storage IPP supplying the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining joint venture of Ivanhoe, Zijin and the DRC government has been commissioned, slashing diesel consumption. Further renewable energy procurement is also on the way at one of the world’s greenest copper mines.
