China Solar PV News Snippets: Jinko Power Establishes AI Infrastructure Unit & More – TaiyangNews

Renewable energy developer Jinko Power has established an AI infrastructure business unit as it expands from green power supply into green computing services. The company said the unit will draw on its renewable energy asset operations and listed-company capital platform to oversee the development, O&M, R&D, and commercialization of its intelligent computing business. It will advance artificial intelligence data center (AIDC) projects in China and develop overseas intelligent computing nodes.
The move follows Jinko Power’s acquisition of a controlling stake in NetBank earlier this month. NetBank provides data center operations, server hosting and GPU computing services, and operates three self-built data centers in Hangzhou and surrounding areas.
Jinko Power has experience supplying green power to computing facilities, including through renewable energy microgrids built for Tencent’s Huailai Ruibeiyun data center in Hebei province and Gaoxinyun data center in Tianjin.
In July, Jinko Power signed a strategic cooperation agreement with AI software company SenseTime to jointly develop ‘Green Power + Intelligent Computing’ projects (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
PV tracker maker Arctech (previously Arctech Solar) plans to build a 15 MW PV project in Changyi, Shandong province, as a demonstration site for its flexible trackers. The company plans to use RMB 63.12 million in remaining proceeds from its previously terminated Western Tracker Manufacturing and Demonstration Base project in Inner Mongolia. The new project is expected to achieve full-capacity grid connection by December 31, 2027.
The company said it will use the demonstration site to test and validate the power-generation gains, reliability, stability, and environmental adaptability of its tracker products.
Arctech reported Q3 2026 revenue of RMB 2.40 billion, up 78.77% year on year (YoY). Net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring items reached RMB 5.29 million, compared with a loss of RMB 37.47 million a year earlier.
For the first nine months of 2026, revenue declined 1.28% YoY to RMB 5.31 billion. The company reported a net loss excluding non-recurring items of RMB 205.85 million, compared with a profit of RMB 103.26 million in the same period last year. The company also reported a net loss for the first half of 2026 (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Perovskite solar manufacturer Renshine Solar has completed a Series B financing round worth more than RMB 100 million. The round was led by the Jiangsu Strategic Emerging Industries Fund, with participation from Suzhou Venture Capital Group and other local industrial funds and investment institutions.
The company plans to use the proceeds to support its future production-line plans, improve mass-production efficiency for perovskite PV, expand capacity, and advance core technologies for space photovoltaics. Renshine Solar is targeting applications in power-station PV, building-integrated PV (BIPV), and space-based PV.
On the technology front, Renshine reported achieving a certified power conversion efficiency of 26.4% for a large-area all-perovskite tandem module last month (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
Energy storage battery maker Energy Infinity has begun construction of an energy storage battery manufacturing project in Chuanshan district, Suining, Sichuan province, with a planned investment of RMB 5.5 billion.
According to local media, the project includes two production lines compatible with lithium-ion and sodium-ion energy storage cells, along with supporting facilities. Once complete and fully operational, the facility is expected to generate over RMB 8 billion in annual output value and create about 1,000 jobs.
