The landowner of Oak Tree Farm is bringing forward plans for a ground-mounted solar farm on land at Oak Tree Farm, Croydon Lane, Banstead. A website has been set up by Kanda Consulting on behalf of the landowner to share information about the emerging proposals and gather local views.

The scheme could generate up to 7.1MW of renewable electricity and help increase the supply of home-grown renewable energy, making a positive contribution to tackling the climate emergency. The proposals would also include associated infrastructure, landscape planting and biodiversity enhancements.
The proposals are still at an early stage and no planning application has been submitted. The landowner’s project team is currently undertaking technical and environmental assessments. We would like to hear the views of local residents, businesses and stakeholders before the proposals are finalised.
