JinkoSolar launches Tiger Neo 5.0, a full black solar panel with 25.52% efficiency for premium rooftops – Green Building Africa

JinkoSolar has announced the Tiger Neo 5.0, a full black solar panel that the company describes as the most efficient of its kind. The product is designed for owners of high end villas and other premium residential buildings who want both strong energy output and a refined appearance.
The panel delivers 510 Wp in a 1762 x 1134 mm size, giving it an efficiency of 25.52%. According to JinkoSolar, this is higher than any other panel of the same dimensions produced to date, making it suited to rooftops where space is limited.
At the core of the panel is TAC technology, which JinkoSolar says is regarded as the next generation after N type cells and, until tandem technology arrives, as the ultimate development of single junction monocrystalline silicon. In the 48 cell format, the Tiger Neo 5.0 produces 30 W more than conventional back contact peers. The company also points to low degradation, better performance in low light and a smaller impact from shading, all of which are valuable on villa roofs where obstructions are common.
The design is a central part of the offer. The panel features a pure black surface with a low profile frame, which allows it to blend into the roof as a single seamless element. Dual glass encapsulation gives the panel a crisp shape while supporting its strength and reliability. JinkoSolar says the uninterrupted black appearance keeps the roof visually clean while still maximising energy generation.
JinkoSolar states that the product was developed through its global R&D centre, where architects work closely with technical teams to balance form and function. The company positions the Tiger Neo 5.0 as the first panel of its kind targeted specifically at villa architecture.
JinkoSolar also highlights exclusivity as part of the proposition. Limited production capacity and the standing of its “First PV Brand” position are presented as factors that add to the panel’s appeal for owners looking for a statement of style and an eco conscious lifestyle, alongside dependable performance.
