StarlinePS Enterprises Ltd has announced a strategic investment of ₹160 crore in Celloraa Energy Pvt Ltd to support the establishment of a 1.2 GW Domestic Content Requirement (DCR)-compliant solar cell manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat. The investment is aimed at strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and supporting the country’s expanding renewable energy sector.
The upcoming manufacturing unit will produce high-quality solar cells that meet Domestic Content Requirement standards, helping address the increasing demand for locally manufactured components in India’s solar power projects. The facility is expected to enhance domestic production capacity while reducing dependence on imported solar equipment.
The investment marks a significant step in expanding India’s clean energy manufacturing base and aligns with the country’s efforts to build a self-reliant renewable energy ecosystem. By supporting advanced solar cell production, the project is expected to contribute to the growth of domestic supply chains, create employment opportunities and promote technological advancement in the solar manufacturing industry.
Celloraa Energy plans to develop a modern production facility equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies to deliver high-performance solar cells for utility-scale, commercial and industrial applications.
